Privacy
This page explains what happens to the email address you leave on the Planet JQ sign-up form.
Who is responsible
Planet JQ is run by Jacqueline Thompson-Brown, 31 Pickhurst Lane, Bromley, BR2 7JE. She is responsible for your information. Email: [NEED FROM CLIENT: email address for privacy questions].
What is collected and why
- Your email address and the date you signed up, so Jacqueline can tell you when the new Planet JQ website opens and send you Planet JQ news. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box.
- A scrambled code made from your internet connection, which cannot be turned back into your address. It is only used to stop one connection signing up hundreds of times.
Nothing else is collected. This page uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising tools.
Where it is kept and who sees it
The list is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this website, and may be held on servers outside the UK under Cloudflare's data protection terms. Jacqueline and Ferris Creative, who build and run the website for her, can see it. It is never sold or shared with anyone else.
How long it is kept
Until you unsubscribe or ask for it to be removed. [NEED FROM CLIENT: how long to keep sign-ups that are never used, for example 2 years]
Your rights
You can ask to see the information held about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe. If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
